Course Objective

Designed for those working in all food businesses at a supervisory level, as changes in legislation have placed greater accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility. It is therefore vital they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively.

Course Content

  • Food Safety Awareness in Catering
  • Induction into Food Safety in Manufacturing
  • Food Safety Awareness for Retail

This qualification replaces the CIEH Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene.

Candidates need to bring their own safety footwear, waterproof clothing, hard hat and working gloves for the practical exercises.
